    e-mag - chrony probs

I always play with my mag in e-mode, but when i chrony i switch to mechanical mode (to chrony like an RT). But for some reason, when i switch to mechanical mode, invariably the first shot just rolls out of the barrel. after that, everything works fine.

any ideas what this could be?

    thanks

That's just what ReTro/E-mag/X-valves do on the first shot. I think it happens because there isn't enough pressure in the dump chamber or on the on/off pin. I don't know.

Never happens to me either. Short stroking comes to mind but I doubt that's it since you're at the chrono and have enough time to pull a full shot? I was gonna say check your input pressure too, but since it only happens on the first shot I'm lost. Good Luck on getting an answer.

Well, now I'm confused too cause that's what happens to mine and a few others that I know of. The first shot off a ReTro(or like valve) tends to be shot at a lower velocity than the following shots. Beats me.

I always cycle a few drops of oil thru mine before I send the paint thru. Mine may be shooting a bit slower on the first shot too but perhaps by the time I put paint in it's warmed up? Just an idea.

Give the valve a good cleaning. Something may be gummed up.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
