    Make a sweet spot sweeter on a R/T

    hi yas , i just bought my R/t an old classic and im having a real hard time gettting it to sweet spot, most shots i think i had going in a row was like 4 BPS at a time

    its pretty much stock , 88/3000 crossfire tank, single trigger benchmark frame

    any tips on how to improve my sweet spot?

    thanks in advance

    Only things I can recommend are: A) Getting an adjustable tank and putting the output pressure around 900-950 psi. B)Practice with your current single trigger frame until you get used to it. Or C) Buy an Intelliframe. "The choice is yours."

      i have an rt pro and it sweet spots easily...when i first got it i could do about 10 bps...now i can do about 18-22 with a full tank...i increased the length of my sear about one full turn to the left (loosen), so now i just slighty pull and its full auto...which is just freaking cool...

      ...thats one of the two great things i did to my upgraded rt pro today...

      DiRtY PiCs... ;)

      I throw bombs...well not really...

        *sigh*

        upping the air pressure input into the valve will only put more wear and tear on the parts, mainly putting more stress on o-rings

        the MAIN KEY to making your RT more ractive is to get a shorter on/off pin

        RobAGD (i think, but it may be BradAGD) sells an on/off pin kit that included a .745 pin and .735 pin, both of which AGD does not produce

        the stock pin is .750 in RT's and .765 in RTP's

        if you have some dial calipers and some sandpaper, you can grind down your on/off pin just a little bit

        even .005 goes a long way in terms of reactivity

        in my retro the .750 is like a classic valve, but with the .745 in it it rips like mad and sweetspots like butter

          here we go again, the "Sweetspotting" debate.

          To do it I have found that all you need are 2 things (and a 3rd one helps)

          1). A tank that can give you an output pressure of 900-950psi (probably an adjustable one)

          2). A tank with a high flow rate to keep up with the RT (I happen to like a MaxFlow).

          3). I found that it is 10x easier for my to sweetspot with the intelliframe than I ever could with the stock single trigger.

          Click the link in my sig below called "Wanna Race" I have 2 videos in there, the first of my firing as fast as I can, the second of the sweetspot on the RT ~22bps.

          I have been hearing a lot of the "sweetspotting will wear your gun down faster" but I have not experienced this at all (or any that I can discern). As far as I can tell, several thousand rounds sweetspotting at 20-22bps wears the same as several thousand rounds at 10-15bps.

          Have any of the naysayers actually tried this out or are you quoting others? I mean, if it was bad, I should be seeing it by now. I am quite sure that I have shot at least 50,000 rounds on my RT Pro JUST on sweetspotting and probably close to 90,000 on my Classic RT. neither has ever broke/ chipped/ warped/ bent or in any other way damaged the valve or bolt. I have sent the Classic RT in to AGD 1 time in the 5 years I have owned it. As far as I can tell, 1000 rounds of rapid fire is the same as 1000 rounds pulled at 1 bps.

              uh... the thing is DO NOT mess with your sear rod... the on/off pin is fine to mess with

              shorter = more reactive

              longer = less reactive

              even ask the AGD tech's

                I never had to mess with it something else is wrong if you are having to lengthen or shorten those components.

                  Correct. But do you realize that from non-firing to full auto is .015 of an inch? How many people are THAT exact? Not many.

                  So unless you want to chance it, DO NOT mess with it.
