    Help ! bumper damaged !

sorry for the big image but I haven't had the time to resize it because this is very urgent (I have a tournament thuesday

Help ! I just took my x-valve out because there was a leak and now I see that the bumper on the back of the valve (where the bolt touches the valve) is totaly damaged.

could the leak come from there or not ?

I attached a picture so you could see it.

and what should i do to prevent this ?

that looks like normal wear to me.....

your best bet for now is to go a parts kits and replace it.... then goto the online store and buy a dozen or so

the bumpers used for the RT/RTPro/Retro/Emag/Xmag valves are supposed to do this..... it is even more pronounced with the Level 10 kit installed.... they have to be that soft to work right....

look for other threads concerning this and you'll see what i mean

Well, some people have had success glueing the bumper down to the power tube with super glue, although all that did was wear it down faster in my case. Although I did do it with a used one that had been soaked in oil, so a new one that hasn't been soaked in oil might not do that. The reason it happens is because when the bolt fires, it drags the bumper with it, and the power tube wears it out.

For the super glue try and find some that is used for RC car tires, as it is supposed to be able to flex somewhat so it won't snap off.
Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix

Ok for the wear but that quick ? I just have 8000 shot's with it .

If it wear's that fast AGD could have given a spare one with the gun. then I didn't have to worry to find one in 2 days

and may this cause the leak down the barrel ?
because I will heve to use the damaged one because I don't have a new one that fast.

yep that looks right. That is 1 place on my mags that I wear down almost every day I play. I shoot about 8000 rounds a day and my bumper is usually thrashed in the center. I just bought a pack of 30 from AGD and now I am set for a few months

yeah I know $2 a hit is high but what can ya do? I bet if I had talked with them for a bit they might have cut me a deal but $60 of bumpers will keep me running for at least a year I figure so its not that bad (as long as THEY don't go bad hehe).
