    Foregrip screw stuck...

Ok, I know that I didn't tighten the screw that holds the foregrip to the rail that tight but it's stuck. I can't get it loose and the hex threads are starting to strip. I stopped messing with it because I don't want to strip it out further, but I want to be able to take it off. Any suggestions? I haven't tried spryaing it with WD40, but that was going to be my next move... HELP!

I'm not quite sure if I would do this on your gun, but when this happens to me on my Jeep I first try a penetrating lube like Liquid Wrench or equiv. If that doesn't help, then I try heating it up. On my Jeep I would use a propane torch or the like to get it hot. You'd be really surprised how much that really helps. Like I said, I'm not sure you'd want to use a torch on the gun, but maybe a lighter or something would work well. I would take the valve and stuff off the rail before I heat it up like that, but would surely work if you needed it to.

Try it at your own risk, but as a last ditch effort, what can it hurt?

I don't know about heating up the rail. i think that would royally screw up the powdercoating. i'm sure that the heat and cooling would loosen the threads but I'm a little wary of doing that. Maybe as a last ditch effort and with a small cigarette lighter I'd try it...

      Thanks and keep them coming...

That screw is the devil...dunno how to get it out, but just make sure before you put it in...put like 10 drops of oil on the threads and that should make it easier next time.

steel screw and aluminum grip = dis-similiar metal corosion.
use Stainless Screws, not plain steel. or get a tube of NEVER-SIEZE from the autoparts store. NS should always be used on sparkplugs and many other autp aplications.

I removed one I had stuck and stripped by TIG welding an allen wrench to the head of the screw. not a common option to most.

in lieu of that method, drill the screw head off , preferably in a drill press.
