mini mag shoots air out the back of the valve

My mini mag shoots alot of air out of the back my valve, right through my velocity adjuster. It is a stock valve. Why would it do this and what can i do to fix it? I am pretty familiar with the gun and i know all the parts but this one stumps me. Please help

    I'm new here, but...

velocity is too high. Turn it down. If the regulator is turned up over 300 fps then it will vent excess pressure out the back.

If this is not the problem then you may need to lube the reg o-rings or replace the reg altogether.

That's what I understand anyway. First try turning down the velocity. But do make sure everything is lubed properly.

I'm new here too, but from my personal experience, it's one of a few things, or all of them combined...

      1) your velocity is too high (as thumper said)
      2) your regulator seat is out of place/worn out
      3) your regulator piston o-ring is bad
      4) your regulator valve pin is seperated from the regulator valve spring and it's causing the pin to hold the piston back

a parts kit will take care of 2 and 3...try turning your velocity down first though...and if your pin has come out of the spring, try to screw it back into place...

        I'm new too.

the bad regulator piston could be cause of it too.

          I am not new

but I back up everything these guys said. those are fixes for that problem.

if none of that works, you will need a new reg-piston. the blow-off valve has gone bad.
