retro valve vs new x valve

I am looking at buying a used retrovalve vs the new x valve.

Bottom line I can get the retro and keep my original valve for less than going through the trade program for the x-valve.

What am I missing here? thanks for advise

well the difference between the two incase you don't know is that the xvalve is aluminum making it lighter than the retro and has a Level 10 installed already. personally i would just go xvalve making my gun lighter and also getting the level 10, but really it's just preference.

    any more oppinions (spelling)

      retrovalve vs x valve

I agree on lvl 10. But I already have that upgrade + intellifeed trigger so the x valve sends my powerfeed automag into the stratsphere on price and probably would only get me to a 10 -12 bps rate of fire.

        biggest difference...

besides the weight and bolt issue, X's are ULT ready. MOST Retros are not.
...but there's an "I" in SNIPER.

          retro valve vs x valve

Well I have a retrovalve on the way. Are only certain retros not compatable with ULE bodies? is there any way to tell?

          thanks

he didn't say ULE bodies... he said ULT, the "ultra light trigger" i belive it means. The ULT's only work if your retro valve has two orings in the on/off assembly. If you check out the classic or sticky or whatever it is thread you will see what I/he means.

yep, unless you want the Ultra Light Trigger, the retro valve will give you everything you want/need from the X-valve.

they basically have identical performance, but if I were you and if you can afford to, I'd definately go for the x valve because they come with the lvl 10 which you are going to buy anyway unless you get a used rt that comes with it, and the x valve is much lighter which is a pretty valuable upgrade on a mag.
