    Intelliframe on a micromag problem

Hi everybody I have a small problem that seems kind of hopless and thought i would post it here for some thought from everybody here. I am the proud owner of a PTP Micro Mag RT. Yesterday I without thinking much about it I bought the Intelliframe to put on it (liked the shorter trigger pull and Blade style trigger). The problem I am running into (nd i hope I can properly describe it becasue I don't have a camera to post a pic here) is that the Micro mag dosn't have a body rail the main body and the rail is all one piece and the sear pin is exposed. Now with the current grip frame I have when it is installed it holds the sear pin in no problems but the intelliframe is different because it is more designed for regular AGD markers and those after some dry firing the pin accidently fell out much to my shock sending my marker full auto. Now the question I have is dose anybody have any simple solutions to fix this like some other way to hold in the pin other than the almost inevitable buying a ULE body I was thinking of loctiteing the pin in but i am rather nervous about plowing ahead with that not even sure it would work or the best way to doit without screwing up the rest of the marker for good. Well thats it for now any thoughts or opions are very welcomed

    Well I think...

If I'm not mistaken the micromag bodies have a screw type sear pin. Mines has one so I'm pretty sure yours does as well. If anything contact PTP to see if they ca nsend you one.

My micro has the same type of sear pin as yours. I'm not sure I would loc-tite it in as that may make it hard to get out, or if it doesn't hold well, it may fall out while playing. Just an idea but if someone could weld you a small piece of aluminum onto your intelli that would be great. Finding someone to do this and keep it looking good may be hard to do tho. Sorry I wasn't more helpful, Good luck:)

i had a problem with my sear pin working its way out on my micro mag so i put a small piece of teflon tape on it to hold it not so permanantly in place.

I don't really favor any of those ideas. I put a drop of clear silicone over the hole after the sear pin is in. It's not often that I ever have to take out the sear, and I just put a new drop of silicone each time I do remove it. I have seen one where the person drilled a hole under the body and tapped it for a set screw to hold the pin. If I ever get ambitious I will do this to mine.

Call up Pro Team and get one of their sear screws. IIRC, mine set me back a buck or two, but I'd rather have the correct part than try to jury-rig something together or drill extra holes in the frame.

I ran into the same problem with my Micro. The original owner had sheared the threaded portion of the sear screw off. Not a big deal with the "stock" Benchmark 2x frame, but if I decided to go to a Y or I frame, I'd face the same problem you are.

Is this only a problem on 2000 and newer Micromags? I have a powerfeed 1999 Micro with RT and my intelliframe went right on, now problems, no pins falling out or mods necessary.
