Accessory Question

I was at a local paintball shop and sen a used mag on the wall. On the valve body is a black box about 2" x 1" with smart parts on it and it says do not remove. Its is screwed into both halves of the valve body. In the air inlet and in front of that. The body is notched out for the forward hole and looks like a professional job almost like stock. What is this piece and what does it do? My wife is interested in getting into paintball and like shooting my mag so I was in the market for another 1 for her. Any help would be appreciated. It was Smart Parts' attempt to create a Low Pressure mag.

Problem is, a mag relies on a set dump chamber size, so it really only acted as an expansion chamber.

You could take it off and it'll be a normal classic mag.

Didn't they drill into the valve to install those things?

yeah there is a second hole in front of the air inlet. Would you just plug that off?

You could probably find some kind of plug for it. I would look around for somthing that didn't have a hole in the valve though.

if they used the standard 1/8" NPT for the forward hole, it would be very easy to just plug it. if not, I am sure AGD would take it in trade for an x-valve

lol..nope they asked me cause ive been using mags a little while. Mags dont seem to be very popular here. Cant barely find parts without ordering them. All cocker and electro here...kinda sucks.

lol..I wish I could get a deal on another 1. Its was Georgia Paintball 2.0. Chris wasnt sure what it did and the store manager was out sick for awhile. I am not in any way saying they dont know what they are doing. They have been great people and very knowledgable.
