AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
While pulling or when its held down?
My minimag would leak while pulling the trigger back. Smallest spacer did nothing, never could figure out what was wrong with the thing, but when I gassed it up after a year of sitting it had healed itself. Go figure.
Pyro will probably correct me if I'm wrong, but a worn sear may allow the bolt to be just far enough forward to have the stem of the bolt not seal on the the PT o-ring. At the same time, the trigger isn't back far enough yet to seal the on/off, so it's an open airway from your tank out the barrel.
Check this edge for wear. Again i'm not 100% sure if a worn sear will cause this, but I think it could. Just check the thing, if its worn we will get someone else to confirm it.
Check here.
Edge should be sharp like in pic, not rounded off.
If the sear has excessive wear at the tip it can experience leaking as described. Its just like nak81783 said. The bolt sits too far forward, not allowing the bolt stem to properly seal against the powertube o-ring.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
What do u mean by worn? It looks fine, but i could be mistaken
My old spacer was a blue one, no numbers on it, looks like its about one size bigger than the one I replaced it with. Is it the stock spacer?
Also, the O ring on the tip I did not replace, its a different size than any other O ring in the parts kit. It says I have "4- PT O rings" in the kit. Is that supposed to be one of them? IE, the same size as the other O ring in the PT? If not, then why isnt it in the parts kit?

Ok, the spacer kit is made to correct leaks. If your gun isn't leaking then there is no need to mess around with spacers. They will not improve your trigger pull. As for this one being smaller it must be some aftermarket one. If the o-ring on the tip doesn't look damaged it is probably ok. I believe it is just a PT o-ring on there. THe edge of the bolt that latches the sear shouldn't be chewed up or rounded off.
