A power tube tip o-ring is NOT the same as a power tube o-ring that seals the stem of the bolt. The power tube tip o-ring is only there to keep the tip from loosening, so if it is a little chewed up, it doesn't really matter as long as your tip isn't coming unthreaded. Since all the air is sealed at the stem of the bolt, no air is being sealed at the power tube tip o-ring.
What kind of bolt do you have? Is it AGD or some other aftermarket bolt?
The bolt should have a nice square edge to it where the sear catches. There may be a little chamfer on it, but it should be uniform around the diameter. If there are spots where its nicked, chewed, or not like all the other spots, it is probably worn out.
How old is this gun, and how much usage has it seen? Any aftermarket parts like sears, bodies, or rails?
Check to make sure the PT tube isn't unthreading from the rest of the valve. This happens to mine occassionally. It doesn't make mine leak, but I just want to look at all avenues.
One more thing you may want to try. Now that you have a spacer kit, take the original spacer that is unmarked, and file it down slightly below the smallest spacer in the kit. I haven't ever heard of a Mag that needed a smaller spacer than what is provided in the kit, but maybe yours got past a tolerance stack check or something.
Thanks,
Nathan
