air leak out barrel,please help

    air leak out barrel,please help

    i just played a big game ( my first big game ) and loved it.well when i came home i took my minimag abart to clean the body and oil the valve (clasic valve).When i put the valve back in i now have an air leak out of the barrel.the leak stops when i press and hold the trigger in but as soon as i release the trigger it it starts leaking again.the gun has a Lx in it.can someone please help me.

    We now know that the leak is in the powertube.
    Make sure all the o-rings in the PT are good, are you sure you have the level 10 put together correcly right carrier and all?
    I don't know too much about the level x so i cannot help you much on that.

      It is common for the level ten to needs some adjustment after use and breakin. http://www.automags.org/resource/level10/index.shtml

        i know the Lx is working fine,i used it yesterday and had no problems with it.i only took the gun apart to oil it and clean the paint off of it.when i put it back together it was leaking.I have taken it apart again and reoiled everything.it still leaks the same.All the o-rings and the PT are good.the gun is only 4 months old.if you can think of anything else let me know.

          From what ive heard I think that after you use the level 10 the o-ring wears down and can require a differant carrier. Possibly a differant number of shims too.

            i will rty a differant carrier and play with the shims,but it will have to wait till wednesday.i will let you know how things go.thanks for the help

              man i feel so dumb now!
              my leak was because of low pressure in my tank.
              once i filled my tank up at the field the leak stopped.guess there was not enough pressure in my tank.
