Never tried it, but i would sugest you stick with autolube or KC trouble-free lube.

I beleive you can put it on your spring pack, but thats it. Don't try it anywhere else.

really thick grease like dow33 tends to slow down the internall works of a gun. it is thicker so it takes more to move the parts treated with it. it may not hurt anything, but then again it might make you take your gun all apart to clean that goop off. why take the chance when there are plenty of oils that work really well?

Might make your parts go slower, causing leakes, maybie erratic velocity, getting gunked up in spots. Don't do it, it will just turn into you spending hours with alchol and cue tips.

              what will it do?

stop the gun from working :)

It is NOT for use on the automag other than the reg spring pack. Thats the only place it should go. Use Autolube, Gold Cup, KC, Automatic Trans Fluid...liquid lubricants (as long as not petrol based) and you'll be fine. Dow 33 is not for mags!

                  *sigh*

All of the above information is inaccurate/false.

Dow 33 will work perfectly fine in any gun. If it slowed things down, why do guys with Angels, Intimidators, etc. use it on their LPR's, front regs and rams?

AGD even uses a grease on the piston from the factory. I use Dow 33 on all of my pistons and reg. valve pin o-rings. Sometimes a bit on the LX o-ring to smooth things out. It's an o-ring grease and a really good one at that.

Petroleum oils attacking o-rings is one of the most uninformed misconceptions in the industry. If petroleum oils attacked o-rings, then why are they used in transmissions and gear boxes that use o-ring seals and rubber seals? What really attacks o-rings is the caustic cleaners and detergents in firearm oils that a lot of people use on their paintball guns because they are more likely to have them sitting around the house.

It's still good to run a good oil like KC oil through the valve to help wash through the dirt and grime that accumulates in the valve and keep everything lubricated.

As for the spring pack, the cheapest/crappiest grease in the world will work on the spring pack. It's just there to keep moisture away from the spring pack so it doesn't rust.

well I can say from experience. I used it in my spyder to grease the hammer oring (hoping to make a better o-ring seal than oil) and when it gets cold. this stuff turns into jelly. gun no worky.
I am not saying you are wrong, or that people dont use it succesfully. that was jsut my experience.

Perhaps what you used wasn't actually Dow 33 or something else caused it to turn to "jelly".

Here's the Product Data Sheet for Dow 33.

I doubt you got it below -73 C.
