    Taking reg off tank

I have a Flatline 68/3k tank that needs to be hydro'd. My local scuba shop tried to take off the reg but had a hard time and are not willing to use more force to take if off. I would like to do it myself but I'm not sure which way to take it off. Do I follow the "righty-tighty, leftly-lucy" and what's the best way to take if off.

Don't do it yourself. Take it to a qualified airsmith, they have the proper tools and knowledge, plus if it gets messed up, they did it.

Just turn it really hard counterclockwise and is should come off. Its probably very easy to screw up the threads though. Why do you want it off?

Like I said, it needs to be hydro'd and the local dive shop is afraid to try any harder and don't want to break the reg.

Send it out to have it done, or go to a PB shop. Even though most of them will make you agree they arn't responsible for damage.

I went to one pb shop that was close to my work and found out that PaintballInc.com closed the proshop indefinately. The store was located in Downey California. It was the old Taso shop that's been around for years. It was the only shop in the Los Angeles area that had a decent selection of mag parts that I know of.

My shop has about nothing in the way of mag parts besides some 8-hole mods, and used body rails which are pretty badly beat and they want $40 each for them.
