    can you help a mag noobie out?

    Ok when I shoot slowly my velocity is consistent, but during faster strings it get major drop off. any ideas?

    Have you tried cleaning everything including the regulator?

    How old is the gun?
    When is the last time it was working fine?
    What aftermarket modifications have been done?
    Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

      what kinda of air system you running on it, N2 or CO2?

        athomas: bought it used, previous told me it was oiled and cleaned. Was told the orings rings were replaced. Looks like a pretty old mag. No aftermarkets on it.

          well i think you have a classic valve. are you getting at least 800 psi into the gun? that will effect shot down on an AGD valve.

            its bulldog preset. I'm using a kingman mini x-chamber(don't have a gas thru) on it.

              The expansion chamber will have an effect on the recharge rate. You should get a gas through or at least bypass the expansion chamber.

              Check your on/off assembly, specifically the on/off top. If the top has an X cut on one side it is an old top. Make sure the X is facing out of the on/off hole not in towards the center of the gun.

                kingman SAY their gun comes w/ exchambers, but really they are gas thrus

                      bulldogs are 850psi I think...maybe 800...at least enough to work the mag...unless its a specifically LP tank...

                      check the airlines...you may have a piece of teflon tape or something blocking part of an airway.

                      if thats not it, your reg seat may be bad, or your reg springs may need oiling/greasing
