Most people use a set screw either behind the trigger or behind the sear where it attaches to the trigger rod.
If you do use a trigger stop, make sure you allow enough distance past the firing point to ensure the gun fires reliably each time.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts. -
could i shorten my trigger rod to teh point where it still fires. and would that shorten my triger pullComment

The trigger rod pushes the sear. Its the sear that actually performs the operation of closing the on/off pin and releasing the bolt. Since the sear is a fixed object, you can't change it. By shortening the trigger rod, all you are doing is moving the trigger contact point back farther. The actual moveable distance remains the same. The problem with shortening the trigger rod is that you may make contact with the handle of the trigger frame before the gun fires.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

but the fires even tho i dont pull teh trigger back all teh way, so couls i just shorten it untill teh point where it reaches contact to teh frame and fire, just tinker with it.Comment

I don't think that would be a problem. Make sure the trigger has some movement past the firing point before it stops. This will ensure consistent operation.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

That'll give a ton of pre-pull slop.Your better off to keep the rod adjusted correctly and put a stop point after it fires.Originally posted by batteryfree

Battery-
I was working on my Benchmark 2 finger and the rod.
I turned the rod out (yes, I lengthened it) until it was about 1/16 off the back of the trigger. Now, the trigger will fire with the safety on, and uses the safety as a rear travel limiter.
However! This WILL render the safety USELESS as an actual SAFETY! Get in the habit of coming off the field and turning off your powerfeed and/ or tank when you put your barrel blocker on, and learn to keep your fingers out of the trigger guard. That way, if you do accidentally pull the trigger, at most it will shoot air or shoot nothing, if your tank is off.
But I am not responsible for anything you mess up while trying this. It's not sanctioned by AGD (I dont beileve it is, anyway) and therefore not supported by me. You break it, it's your fault. Dont blame me.
