e-mag vs. upgrage help

I'm trying to decide whether to get the upgrade to an e-mag from my current retro mag or to get a brand new one. What do you think? Is the retro valve different from the e-valve? what about chopping w/ my stock bolt?

E-mag uses the same bolt and valve as the retro. Only differance is it uses a different on-off, which can easially be replaced. If you go for the upgrade, it may not even need to be replaced.
