Omega Rails & Dremel Tools ???

Well, after months and months of looking at them, I finally bought a chrome omega body rail in the misc. forums. I came in the mail the other day and is very pretty! The only problem is that the slot in the body rail where the trigger sear pin goes is just slightly too small for the sear pin.

So the question is: What is the best way to modify this slot to hold the pin???

I have ordered a couple of the pump compatible body rails from the attic, and had to take a small file to them to get them to work, but this omega rail is chromed, so I am assuming it is much harder than the raw aluminum in my previous attempts.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Do you have the old or new style sear pin. The old style looks like a black cylinder, the new style looks like a chrome pill.

I have found the old style sear pin does not fit in every rail, but the new style does seem to fit. I think I had the same problem with my Omega.

Might be better to buy a new pin than to dremel the Omega and lower its resale value.

        Old School...

All my parts are ancient. LOL... Yes, it was an old style trigger sear pin. After talking a little with RogueFactor, it was decided that a sear pin is much cheaper than a chrome omega rail, so off to the basement I went with the sear pin. After about 2 cigarettes while playing on the little belt sander, I had a perfect fit! That's about 15 minutes if you don't smoke. :)

Now I just have to take some pictures as the new gun is done!

Now if I could just find someone to nickel my foregrip I would be totally done! :)

I like it. the Y-grip with the 15* ASA makes a nice consistant look.
