    troubleshooting question

Just bought a used mag rt pro off ebay. I got a good deal on it and it worked fine before I took it apart to replace the O rings. I watched the video the seller included with it and my rt's body doesnt look anything like the one in the video.

The RT also has a level 10 bolt. I replaced the o-rings and the power tube spring and now I am getting a constant leak from the barrel, unlike what they talk about in the video. Also, if I tighten the regulator too far, I get a machine gun type effect. Does anyone have any ideas? It would be much appreciated

    Thanks in advance,

    John

The video is outdated. It will give you some general pointers on how to work on the gun, but a lot of things have changed. Level 10 wasn't around back then and the body was different along with a few other things.

By power tube spring, do you mean the spring that goes around the bolt? There shouldn't have been a spring in the powertube. Make sure your Level 10 o-ring fit on the bolt stem is good. Slide the bolt back and forth with the valve out of the gun and see if you can feel some o-ring friction. If you can't, you need to use the same o-ring in a smaller carrier.

Also, with it leaking, push in on the bolt and see if that gets it to change pitch. If it does, it is for sure an LX carrier o-ring problem. If not, then you probably have a bad black o-ring that goes around the outside of the carrier.

At the top of this forum go to the Resource section and go to the Level 10 guide.
