    lost accuracy ???

I have been using my classic mag w/ freak barrel ,crossfire tank, and my macro runs from my drop straight to my valve. My issue is even with good paint my shot to shot accuracy is not as good as it was a few months ago. What should I check for.

Well, if you are sure that you have high quality paint, and the paint matches your freak insert, then I reccommend replacing the reg seat.

Do you mean accuracy or velocity, for veolicty replace the reg seat, and don't seperate the valve halves untill you start getting inconsistant velocity again.

I've seen several people with freaks run into long term accuracy issues. it would appear that people with barrel systems dont' take as good care of their barrels ;-)

WASH THAT FREAK. I mean clena it. hard-core. My trick is to use water so hot that I risk burns. It disolves the geletin and so long as it's coming out of the faucet it washes away the oil too. do that on anything that touches paint. the metal should feel dry, and almost sticky when you're done. :-)

If that's not an option. get a CLEAN squeegie. and use that to shove tight wads of papwer towel through the barrel, soak the paper towel in alcahaol, and change it whenever it looks a little dirty. Eventually it will come out clean, tha'ts when you're done cleaning the barrel.

when I'm at the field, I use a red shoprag to clean my barrels. I shove it through, and due to how big the rag is, it generally pulls all the crud out of the barrel.

Now if your'e having velocity problems, replace the reg seat.

I've restored a few freaks cleaning them out like that ;-) so it might be worth a shot for you.

          Problem solved

I scrubbed the freak and that helped, but I also completely took the mag apart and found that some oil had leaked out into the the bolt. there was actually some buildup on the spring as well from over oiling.Once everything was soaked and scrubbed it shoots incredible. Thanks for the reminder on the freak,I don't clean it like I should.
