    flatline 3K question

is it normal fo rthe flatline reg to go down in regulation as the tank starts to get empty. Before you say "that is stupid quiestion" let me clarify. I have it set for 700PSI and once the tank's internal pressure gets below 1000PSI, the regulated pressure starts to fall off and it starts to cause the gun to shootdown (it recharges much slower)

is this a normal flatline operate, or do I need to fix something?

Regulators need a certian amount of head pressure to operate properly. 300psi isn't a lot of head pressure when you're talking about nitrogen regulators.

I wouldn't worry about it too much... I don't have enough experience to say that's the way it should be.. but it does not sound wrong to me. I get simmilar behavior with nearly every other nitro setup I have.

I have a crossfire preset tank, and I don't think I notice anything usually untill I get it down to 600psi or so. Then again if you have the level 10 (or the ULT, I forget which one), I think that requires a higher input pressure

#1 I cuold be dreaming. Seeing dropoff on my guns is rare indeed. I keep my tanks over 1k usually.

#2 He could have a dirty reg seat... And it's slowly creeping up to pressure

its not creeping. the pressure levels off at 700PSI liek it is supposed to. it just takes a noticable amount of time under 1000PSI of tank pressure.

That's actually an indicaion of a leaky reg seat. With higher head prssure small leaks look bigger, and the reg will close up faster. Go ahead and try replacing the reg seat. You shouldnt' be able to watch the guages on a flatline move.. at all. :-)

(my centerflag just rattles the guage when fired, my maxflow you can watch recharge, same for the PMS... the PMS is a lot faster thanteh maxflow... then again, I know for a fact the maxflow needs a LOT of work.)
