    Installing a hyperframe on a RT-Pro

    First off, I searched this and could not find an answer.

    I'm planning on installing a Hyperframe on a RT-Pro with an X-valve and LX. I'm looking at the hyperframe and I'm pretty sure that I need to mill the "wings" off of the top of the frame. Also, I was planning on getting a ULT. That way the on/off will offer less resistance to the solonoid. The ULT will make the length of the on/off adjustable and hopefully increase the life of the battery.

    I was wondering if there any flaws in my thinking. I would also like to know if any of you have tried this with any success. I'd also like to know if there is any additional machining that needs to be done to the Hyperframe. Thanks in advance.

      If you cannot get a hyperframe without wings, then they will need to be milled off. I'm not so sure the ULT will be worth it though. For the price of the ULT, you could go out and buy a good set of rechargable batteries and spacers for the hyperframe and your loader most likely.

          The longer battery life is really just an added bonus. The real reason for the ULT is being able to adjust the on/off. At least, that's my thinking.

              First you have to determind if it pushes the on-off pin up with a set amount of force (if it does ULT will make no differance). If it pushes it up with however much force is needed, then yes the ULT may make a small differance.

                  YES, the ability to adjust the length of the on/off pin is very helpfull with a hyperframe. Also, you can probably set the service mode (in the original hyperframe board) lower with a ULT. They are a very nice option for a hyperframe.
