    Leak in my E-Mag

I have a stock emag but i have installed a level 10 - I already broke in the carrier...

I've been using my etrigger for awhile but i just started using it in manual "hybrid" mode... I figured i'd break in my trigger... well now it leaks... when i first gased it up it would only fire one shot then not fire again till i turned the gun off and regased it then it would do the same.. i took off the valve+bolt to see if ne thing was wrong and it seemed to be fine... so i put it back on and then it was fine.. no leak no stick nothing.. yay gg.. so i started to break in the trigger sum more by putting lots of shots thru it and now it started leaking out the back...? hmmm.. i've checked a good ammount of the orings (at least the easily accesable ones) and they are all in tip top shape.. ive had it since the begining of summer.. does ne one know what might be causing the leak?

    i forgot..

I just did install a new body (i had a warp body now I have a ULE centerfeed) I don't think that has to do with much but it didn't do it before.. The only thing i took out of my gun is the twist lock assembly peices

Leaking out the back is one of two things.

Velocity is too high or the piston just crapped out on you.

happened to me mid-game. Sucks. Try turning down the velocity. If that doesn't fix the leak out the back, a new reg-piston is in order.

        hmm...

I was messing with it and added in two extra shims on top of the one i already had.. im a noob so i experiment alot with my gun to see what it does.. will that effect ne thing? I turned down my velocity now i just gotta go get my tank filled to mess around with it some more.. hopefully its not the piston!

Don't go messing with stuff right now. By adding parts and what not, you may add a variable to the mix.

The Shim will alter where in the stroke the bolt will vent out. Just don't add anything until we fix the leak.

And the piston is cheap. $10-$20

            OMG!!!

wow.. there is this paintball place around where I live (NH) I turned down the velocity and its actually good that i messed w/ the shims cuz the ONLY one that was in there was bent to crap so i added in 2 new ones. Anyways i went to get my Nitro filed to listen for leaks cuz mags luv the air especially when you are messing around with them but ne ways - yes I went there and the guy said "this is the wrong size nipple" I was like WHAT?! all nipples are the same they are standarized!! i was like let me see that and the guy gave me a dirty look. whatever.. 2 of my friends have had the same problem with them. The sad thing is Ive had my tank filled there many times in the past when i really needed to have it filled. They charge you an arm and a leg for their air and sometimes they won't even fill it for you! 7.50 a fill on a 3k 68 NO THANKS! The place i play at only charges 1$ per 1k and the other one is free (i do have memberships at both playces) but that is soooo sad... Now I have no way of knowing if I have a leak till I play saturday

If it started leaking out the back all of a sudden, I would look at giving the valve a good cleaning inside. That way you can carefully inspect all the o-rings.

The bent carrier shim could cause a leak in the front. If that was the problem, then you probably don't want to put in two shims to replace 1 bent one. Just put in one shim.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
