emag valve not doing its stuff

i have an emag valve on my classic right now (why? bc people would rather buy the bottom part of the frame and throw on an xvalve, and since i don't care much for the electro part, why not sell the emag bottom).

so...im using it with an auto responce frame, and it did quite well the 1st time. now however, when i gas it up, it doen't do anything at all. it makes the "click" noise when its gassed up, but it seems like the on/off isn't functioning correctly. i pull the trigger over and over, and nothing goes on.

the 1st trial was with a full tank (68/45), and the second take, when it "stopped" working, it was around 1k psi. does the retro/emag valve need a lot of "Unff" to work proporly?

and i don't think its the autoresponce frame that messed it up, since the sear is good, lvl10 is good, body, ect.

also, i have Doc's mag/cocker adapter, chould this be inhibiting the operation?

ahh, going to the field with only 500 balls...i love college.

An Emag valve's on/off is quite a bit shorter than ones found on Retro/X/Classics. .712 on an Emag and .750 to .765 on Retros. This maybe where the problem lies.

I'm guessing the 1000psi you are reading on the gauge is incorrect. If you have a long bolt spring on your valve then the valve needs a high chamber pressure to operate. The pressure available to the valve is probably less than what is required.

I doubt it is the emag on/off pin. A shorter pin will cause increased reactivity and the chamber will always charge with air when you release the trigger.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
