Is the steel insert in a x-mag body threaded?

I am getting someone to anodize it and they looked down the hole of the ring and said it was threaded in there, is it like that or is he miss-seeing something.

ahh man your in for a treat.

getting this out is pure hell and i never did achive it

but to answer your question yes it is threaded in and its held in place with perment locktite(red). as if that wasnt bad enough it has a SMALL easily stripable set screw that comes in though the bottom of the body. the set screw is also red locktited.

if you can even get the set screw out (i couldnt) then there are a few threads on how to get the ring out. do a search im not sure if they where in tech forum or paintball talk.

but the "easiest" way that has been found is take a bolt
about 6-8 inches long. put a nut on one side and insert it into the rear of the body. then put the nut on the bolt on the inside of the breech.

good luck and remember what really changed my mind about getting the ring out is that there are no extra bodies to go around if you mess it up your done.

    Good luck
