ive decided to start construction on my own mag built from scratch. i have a level 7 bolt off my gun(its got a lvl 10 now). the body, trigger frame and barrel wont be a problem. i want to know where i would pick up a classic valve or something similar though.

i would say your best bet would be here on AO in the misc forum. might even pick up a retro for cheap also.

You might find that the sum of the parts is greater than the whole - kinda like buying a car from the parts department at the dealer.
I understand very well the satisfaction of building it piece by carefully chosen piece, but think about buying one that is most of the way there and tweaking it rather than starting from absolute scratch - especially for a standard automag.Comment
