    Warps and chopping

Shouldn't a properly working warp feed eliminate chopping? I have an E-mag, warp feed, ULE warp left main body, 16" freak barrel, and I'm getting 3 or 4 chops a day (and I don't shoot much paint). It didn't used to be that way but I can't remember if it started immediately after I switched to the ULE mainbody. I've swapped out warp feeds with no noticable change. The LVL-10 is too much trouble to install and tune, and it shouldn't be unnecessary. By the way, I'm shooting Hellfire brand paint. More experimenting this weekend: different paint, installing 12 V mod on warp feed, shorter freak front, and reinstalling the old warp left mainbody with the twist lock barrel. I refuse to give up my warp feed! Thanks for letting me rant.

Level 10 is CAKE to setup and tune. And if you're using Hellfire, LX is a MUST.

I just want to clarify........you are getting breech chopps right? not barrel breaks?

how fast is the ROF? a warp with a 9 volt batt will only feed to about 15-16BPS. you also have to watch how long your strings of paint get. you really only get about 10 shots at full ROF, then you are limited by whatever hopper you have feeding the warp.

DEADEYE- I use Hellfire religiously, and I have noticed that with my last case, I have had 3 or 4 barrel breaks out of the first 1000... not chops. never had this problem with hellfire before. Possibly a bad recent batch...? I also noticed that the balls in this batch SUCK, they are egg'd like crazy. I would say that 10% of them in this batch dont even look shootable.

I've been getting barrel breaks too, and wasn't with previous batches of Hellfire. I'm also getting chops, the bolt and spring are covered in paint. With my trigger pulling ability, there's no way I'm shooting too fast.

My latest thoughts regard the ULE warp mainbody. I'm thinkning that the ball in the breech is not being held in place by the next ball pushing against it. This would happen only on the first shot, after the warp is at rest. The warp may not be maintaining constant pressure on the ball stream. Maybe another ball detent, located on feed port would help.

Constant pressure on the ball stream should eliminate chops, IMHO.

When I say ULE warp left, I mean the input is on the left side, not that it's for left-handers. Sorry to get your hopes up. I don't think AGD make a ULE warp for left-handers.

Hey i chopped before useing a single trigger with my warp, I'm thinking the battery has to be fully charged for it to work at 22bps.

you have to do the 12V mod to get 22 BPS out of a warp. at 9V they will spin at about 16BPS.
