air vents out reg after every shot...

After every shot, my mag vents a "pfffft" worth of gas out the back, but dosn't leak when its stationary. I can't get the velocity past 270 fps either before overpressurizing. I'm fairly certain it's not a LX issue.

my set up:
Classic body/rail/triggerframe
LX (middle/cut spring, 1 shim)
Milled Retro with ULT (3 LX shims)
AA raptor rex (900psi)

Sounds like a reg piston issue. Older valves were set to vent at a lower pressure.

that's a good start

i'll check it and the o-ring. If that were the problem, wouldn't it vent when not firing, also?

Yeah thinking more about it it seems that if the reg piston were bad it would vent the whole time. Have you tried using the smallest LX spring, something I need to try myself for increased efficiency. Perhaps having less pressure behind the bolt would leave more to push the ball out?!

havn't tried the small spring. I thought the smaller spring caused velocity issues (can't set it past 260 fps?), but it's worth a go.

hm usually when someone at the field i play at has that problem, i turn down their velocity (they're bound to be shooting hot anyways), and it goes away.

but as for the lvl10 small spring, i use it and my velocity is fine, i can tune it to 260-300 perfectly fine, with it being consistent
