    My battery doesn't charge!?

I've been unable to charge my battery for 2 days. I've posted a thread several months ago with a similar problem.

I have 2 batteries that according to AGD there is nothing wrong with, they were able to charge them just fine.

It's taking hours for the voltage in the battery to go up just a 1/10 of a volt.

I've tried every combination a power sources I can think of, with both my batteries.

The current set up is plugged into a 110VAC to 14VDC (1 Amp) converter.

NOTE: the battery has not been getting warm.

I've got a tourny soon so please help! Any info anyone needs including pics I will send ASAP.

    Thanks guys

    Update

Ok, my battery has been on the charger for 9 hours undisterbed.
I put in on my gun and it flashed 'low batt'. What is up with this thing?????

I switched out batteries and am attempting to charge the other one.

    All voltages are normal

What is the voltage reading of the battery after charging?

Maybe the charger is faulty, not the batteries.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I assume you're not using the AGD battery charger that fits over the battery. You said a 14V converter, I assume that it's not a charger. If so, you might have to reverse the leads to battery. Positive from the converter to negative on the battery, similarly for the negative from the converter. Also, 14V is a little low, but should be enough.

I am using the AGD charger. The converter is so I can plug the car port plug into a wall plug.

I keep thinking there is something wrong with the charger but when i measure the voltage across the nodes when it's plugged in, it reads 24-25 volts (which is what it's supposed to be, I think)

Can I connect two 9v batteries in series?

I know AGD was going to make this possible but never did.

Just wondering if i could make it work and how.

OK, I understand. Yep, sounds like a bad battery charger. You might try plugging it into the cigarette lighter, as a last resort. If the battery doesn't get warm then you probably need a new charger.

Using the cigaret lighter was the first thing i tried, I will talk to AGD about getting a new charger. Their 80 bucks!

Yes, they are very expensive. I just had to purchase another one seeing as how I left mine at the hotel of our last tourny. Don't I feel stupid

Hey guys, can any one tell the the voltage and amps coming out of there charger?

                    I have 24-25 V and 20mA

20mA doesn't seem right. It has 16.8V/650mA written on the charger.

The voltage is ok, but the current flow is low if it can only deliver 20mA. The current capability of the charger is 650mA. It will give the battery most of its 650mA charge in the first hour. Sounds like your charger is at fault.

I'll let ya know if it works

                        Thanks for the help :)
