Problem with my gun

Ok, I bought my gun used, and I am running a vertical bottle co2 tank. But the problem is when i screw in the co2 tank, air comes out of the regulator nut. And it sputters also. How can I fix this?

Welcome to AO! Try unscrewing the velocity nut a little. It will vent out if it's under to much pressure. If it keeps leaking after you unscrew it some you have a bigger problem. Oh and if you haven't run any oil thru go ahead and put a few drops in the ASA before you put the tank on.

What he said, if you turn the velocity up to high it will leak, so just turn the nut out. If that doesn't stop it you might have a bad reg piston o-ring, no big thing.
