Black, Tuna, AGD, fix my emag charger?

i'd rather get this fixed, rather than paying 80 dollars for a NEW charger, only because its one piece that i think is broke so i dont know.
the piece rattles, dropped it from like a foot high and thats the result. it doesn't come off, it just shakes where it is.

edit: i forgot, without the battery, and trying to charge it'll blink yellow like its suppose to, then with battery on, it goes to red, but it never gets 'charged'

WTF is that on the end of that diode? You say it came loose? Loose it what way, is it meant to slide over the diode like some sort of heat sink? or is just soldered to the board very close to it? Does the charger still work? I suppose you could have burned that diode out somehow, if it got too hot for instance. Remember that most diodes can't take more than about a quarter watt of power. You can always test the diode to see it it still works, or just replace it with a new one, that seems to be a standard Zener type diode which you should be able to find at Radio Shack for under $1.

and make some complete pump kits for the automag for gods sakes.

i know nothing about electronic boards, so, diode, and i say 'what?'

its just, loose. i dont know how to explain it, and i haven't burned out it out, i know that because its been at my friends for about 2 months
and i JUST got it, and it was fine, then i dropped it about a foot high then noticed the rattling, and it didn't do it when i picked it up from his house.

its loose like, iuno lol, its just loose, its like OFF the board and that wire part in the middle of it is basically the only thing it is holding on by, from what it looks like.

as for the charger working, like i said before, it peforms perfectly, except it just doesn't CHARGE the battery.

send it here...I'll take a look at it. I have never seen a solid state board fail from a drop....

well i just left it on for a couple hours while i was out for dinner, and when i got back the light was green, soo, now i really dont know if its charging or if it IS.
just the battery is not getting warm at all.

ok update. checked the voltage on battery and all that.
ac adapter giving out 12vs, charger is converting it to around 17-20, and my battery is puting out 18.
now my battery has only had about a 20-30 minute charge since its been dead last, and i've put probably like 6-8 pods through it since then.

now, is this all right? i find it odd that my battery isn't getting warm, it usually did, but after 30 minutes, i checked, and it was still cold, then went out to eat and the rest you know

tuna, if you got AIM IM me, 'rikkterdot'

also, anyone, as in black, tuna, miscue, agdjon, ANYONE have the schematics for it? or can tell me what resistor is on it? mines burned up from the looks (can't even make out the stripes on it to figure it out)

up, i need to know if it is a 1k ohm or a 1ohm
on the BOARD it says 1, but Tuna thinks its a 1k

someone taking a picture will GREATLY help

after further review and closer inspection of a new one, it appears to be grey, black, gold, gold. That is an 8 ohm resistor with a 5% tolerance. Sorry for any confusion.

my mother's bf did a search and could even find a 8ohm. the closet was a 8.2

                    ???

well with a 5% tolerance(gold band) 8.2 should be fine.

well, my mothers bf emailed AGD, and they said it was only a 1ohm..

well, we recieved some 1ohm resistors in the mail today, and we put it on the charger, and it felt so good to actually go in the back yard and rip on the emag in electric mode again

What is that on the side of the diode? It looks like a ferride bead. I doubt that a charger would generate enough rf noise to affect the charging system.

If it is a ferride bead, it should be loose as there is no electrical connection for it.
