    Arghh.... chops!!

Help, I have my new Emag with LX (1.5 carrier, 2 shims, small spring)and when I rapid fire in E mode can't empty my hopper before I chop and it happens all the time. Why am I chopping paint? What should I try next?

    Gun Set up:

    E-Mag
    ULE Mainbody
    LX
    X Valve
    HALO B (with fresh batteries)
    DYE 16" Boomstick

    Help! Thanks.

BTW: I tried 3 different brands of paint and the results are the same, nasty chops.

Did you have an earlier ULE body? I know that some had problems w/ the detents. A thread was stickied at the top about it. If that's not the case switching to the middle spring should be helpful. Good luck! I just found it, http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=76858

Yah, I'm read all about the ULE issue. What would a correcly placed detent work like? (using a carrier o-ring fix).

I'll try the middle spring. This will sound like a dumb question but I'll ask anyways; does havieng a larger spring affect my air efficiency? (Just a though).

      And Thanks!

I was gonna mention the down side to using a larger spring in the last post but was to lazy to type it out! You will be less efficient switching to a larger spring, to what degree I'm not sure. I run the middle spring and I'm about to drop back to the short one to see if there's much difference. I'm a little lost on the other question about what a correctly placed detent would work like. If the detent is your problem a correctly placed one would stay clean of goo! I can't really answer questions about the ULE 100% as I don't have one, I can just tell you what I've read and heard. Another thought, it may be helpful to search and see if anyone else has had similar problems running a Halo on a ULE. Some posts over in the Angel section suggest that the detents aren't strong enough for the Halo.

Aye, understood. I guess I'll try the middle spring thing since I already have the o-ring fix thing Tom mentioned in that ULE/Detent post. I hope it works. Thanks a lot, bro.

          You been great help.
