E-Mag acting up, need some help (Or I'm just a Moron)

Ok, I just got a new E-Magnum'ed E-Mag in a trade deal. Once I got it and gassed it up it shot wonderfully. Very fast and quick, very awesome.

Then I had to punch out the twistlock assmebly for my ULE Body. Anyway, when I started to take off the body rail, I didn't know I had to pull the sear pin out first, and pull the sear up a little before I realize it wasn't coming up. After a quick push down and pin removal, I took off the rail and everything was fine.

But now when I shoot, no matter WHAT mode I have it in it seems to be in Hybrid mode, even in pure E. After that was going on for a while, my Mag started to what seemed like short stroke by itself (I have X-Valve).

Now every other shot results in a chuff, and the Mag seems to be in Hybrid mode always (except when off and in manual).

Did I mis-align the sear or something? This is probably an easy fix, but I know nothing about E-Mags...

    Can someone help?

Oh ya, when in manual mode it shoots fine. Nothing seems wrong. Thought I should say that.

Your sear pin adjustment length could have recessed itself a bit, that happened on my emag once. May want to check that out, I cant remember what the proper length is off the top of my head.

After a quick 30 min search and a few posts brought to my attention by a friend, I solved every problem but the sear rod.

The chuffing was caused by the ball detent, and what seemed like bolt stick was caused by the on/off pin o-ring. I checked out the plunger and it was fine.

So all thats left is the sear rod. How do I adjust it? It seems to be a tad to long and turns E mode into hybrid mode. So how do I adjust it?

If emode is also hybrid, then you need to adjust the trigger stop so that the trigger stops before it hits the trigger rod. When you do this, you may have to adjust the trigger magnet to change the HES trigger point as well.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

The sear rod is adjusted by taking out the whole sear assembly and screwing in/out the sear rod.

            Hope this somewhat helps.

As one Emag newbie to another - DONT TOUCH THE SEAR ROD.

Check BlackVCG's thread on adjusting the Emag trigger - sounds like you have too much overtravel in Emode.
