    Slide Check/QD "self" venting?

I just installed a 32 degrees slide check/qd on my mag. I have it installed so it bleeds the valve. Everytime I shoot, the slide part starts to slide to the place where it vents. I have it installed so there is a 20 degree rise that the slide has to overcome (i.e. it's fighting gravity) but it's still doing it. Has this happened so anyone else? What was your fix? Anyone have any ideas on how to stop it from sliding so easily?

    Thanks.

Mine doesn't do that. The only thing that came to mind as a possible fix would be to wrap a rubber band above where it's sliding and use it like a stop. You didn't mention what type of tank you were using. I use one w/ my flatline and although its mounted backwards, venting between tank and QD, after a slide or 2 it releases enough pressure for me too take the line off. The flatline has an on/off tho so it won't empty all of the way. Hopefully that was helpful, good luck either way

Thanks Chuck. On the way home from work I thought of the rubber band thing too, just using it a different way so I'll try both and see which one works the best. The tank I have is a flatline too. Time for some testing
