Welcome to AO! I bought a Palmers Sideline Stabalizer a while back in hopes of making Co2 friendly mag. Another incomplete project, but in the directions they stated that an anti-siphon tank was one of the best solutions for using Co2 safely and keeping it out of your valve. An expansion chamber and/or remote work nice too. You can use most together effectively, but the anti-siphon tank and remote shouldn't be mixed.

I hear that a reg on a mag will restrict air flow. So will the palmer work or just be too restrictive?

The Palmer would be to restrictive if I were using a N2 tank, then it would be triple regging, tank, Palmer, and valve reg. I got it w/ the intentions of using Co2 on it only. Like I mentioned earlier this experiment is still in the lab!

I've done it two ways. with a vertical palmers stabilizer, and with an aci 4-stage ex chamber. They both work, they are both nice. One isn't really better than the other but I prefer the aci. One, its a more comfotable grip. Two, to set that up its half as much as the stabilizer. You get good results with each. With the aci, there is no adjusting except your a.i.r. valve. With the stabilizer you have to like balance the two, make sure the stabilizer is putting out enough etc.
I wouldn't get the stabilizer. Take my advice, I have an extra one laying around, while my aci is on one of our mags. :)
OBTW, I have better results with my classic mag on co2 than my 2k2 cocker with stabilizer. It is much more consistent.
