    What should I upgrade?

Hey im a new mag owner, I need some suggestions on what to upgrade first on my gun. Everthing on it right now is stock and I wanna do something to make it better than it already is. So if you could tell me what really makes the gun better I'd be glad to take your suggestions.

    Thanx alot

You are going to get a ton of variations in the answers that you receive from this post. Some people will post every major upgrade made by AGD as an "OMG MUST H4VE!!!!!111!1"

If you are looking to spend very little and want the 1-2 BEST upgrades across the board I would suggest the lvl 10 bolt kit.

That upgrade is universally recognized as the BEST upgrade for any kind of Mag regardless of valving.

What it virtually eliminates is chopping balls in the breach. All you have to do is size your paint to the barrel.

Beyond that, it's a matter of preference based on your style of play. If you find that you like wood ball and sneaking around, you probably don't need to invest in an intelliframe or X-valve. If you have your heart set on getting {insert that FREAKING AWESOME upgrade you heard about}, ask about it. There are plenty of people here who have spent all their money trying them out and it's cheaper than buying something you don't like/need.

      another new mag owner

Hey another newbie mag owner..bought a used field mag and am rebuilding it..new ANS valve, benchmark double trigger, and I won a CP barrel from a scenario game. Here is the question...the barrel is very loose..it shakes when you move the gun..how can I fix this besides getting the new ULE body(future upgrade along with the LVL 10).
      Thanks in advance..

The Level 10 is definitely one of the best/most needed upgrades. I know my 'mag was a paint blender before I upgraded to the LX. Now it works flawless and has the additional advantage of lightening the trigger pull somewhat. The other upgrade that comes to mind is a new barrel, which one though is a whole different thread.

I agree with Z man about the level 10, but if you can afford it, I'd get the x valve as it comes with the level 10. But you should know that you need nitro / compressed air to run that. If you're not ready to make that jump, then go with the level 10 by itself. I don't think mags were blenders before the level 10, but it is nice to know that you don't have to worry about chops at all.

I have no idea why your barrel would be loose unless the twist lock pin in your rail is damaged, but if you upgrade to the ULE body, you'll need a cocker threaded barrel, so your mag barrel (which I assume is a twist lock) will be no good to you.

            Try replacing the barrel O-rings.

when i got my mag the orings were not even on the barrel..check there should be 2 of them...while ur looking at the make sure there is a nubbin on the barrel too. the nubbin is a rubber peice that fits into that zig zag pattern.

the best upgrade for any mag is a Compressed air tank. You can pick up a cheap screw in preset tank for about 100 dollars, this is about the same price that it will cost to run Co2 reliably. the consistency of airflow of N2 will make the gun much more consistent/accurate than any Co2 setup.
other than that, get a ULE body. The autococker threaded barrels (the standard automag twist lock barrels move around a little, causing some shot to shot inconsistency) and Angel ball detents are a nicer than the nubbins. Plus it is centerfeed, which makes the gun more balanced, by placing the hopper directly over the gun instead of off to the right or left.
