    the old z body

A few years ago AGD made a body called the z body. This body allowed you to adjust the back spin on the paintball. I was wondering how this worked and if it is still being made, or if you know where I could get one?

Actually, AGD does not make the bodies. A company called Galactic Systemz does. Their website is http://www.galacticz.com/.

You can probably find one on ebay or in the for sale forums here from time to time. I believe they are still made, but i'm not sure where you would buy new. Take a look around online. The backspin doesn't do much, you end up having to use a barrel with a huge bore, using alot of air, having accuracy issues somtimes, and not seeing much of an increase in EFFECTIVE range.

as same as any other body. it just has a hop up system similar to airsoft guns. it just slapps the ball on the upper hemisphere.

ahh, going to the field with only 500 balls...i love college.

i have the zbody on my mag now, it is fun to play with the backspin knob but that is about it. if you turn the backspin way up it will throw a curveball like u will never see again!!! i usually play with the backspin barely on jsut to give it some distance. i do not know how effecient it is bc i do not own another body to compare it with.

THe body itself doesn't effect efficancy. The fact that you need to use a barrel which is way to big for your paint does, since your throwing off your paint-barrel match which does play a big role in air efficancy.

So, are you saying that it isn't worth getting? Why do you need to use bigger barrels? And it wouldn't help with range at all??????

This is the link to Warpig's review of the body, which cover the use of larger barrels and the such.

Not worth the money, IMHO. Cool concept and if I have the money to burn, I might invest in one someday... but it's at the bottom of a VERY long list.

I believe that Paintballgateway.com still has some of the z bodys but only in chrome.
