It can't have the same o-rings as an RT because it has the level 10.

        Sure it can.

You use the ReTro parts kit for everything except the level 10. It comes with all the spare orings you'd need for that setup.

And technically, the white carrier oring is used in the ReTro parts kit as well.

The carrier o-ring in the level 10 is unique for that setup, or so I thought. Thats what prompted my question... if the carrier o-ring is diffrent and a few other level 10 parts are diffrent, why not make an X-Valve kit?

The white carrier oring is not unique. It does come in other kits, as it is used throughout the guns.

The reason they don't need an Xvalve kit is because the ReTro kit works. It's the SAME valve, just aluminum. When you buy the Xvalve, it comes with the level 10 kit parts which gives you all the spare parts you need for the setup ONLY.

The ReTro kit gives you the parts to completely replace EVERY oring in the gun. If you want to get technical, it DOES have a replacement for the white carrier oring, but it doesn't have anything else for the Level 10 setup.

AHH! OK, thank you. If that O-ring is the same then I see the point of not being hell bent to create a unique kit. I think it would just be helpful for a X-valve kit because of the shims and other little pieces that can get lost very easily. Now it just seems like a X-Valve kit would be nice to have but not manditory.

              Thanks again

You can buy the shims and carriers from AGD, I think they are on there website. So you don't have to buy the entire kit, you can just buy what you lost.

The only problem with ordering them from AGD is that it doesn't do you much good right when you need it. Until teleportation is available (need to talk to Tom on that one) people will have problems AT the game they are at because many people do not do proper gun maintenence until it is too late to order parts and recive them. Most paintball shops I have seen carry the kits for the Classic Valve and RT Valve, and even at events these items are commonly carried by vendors. If the kits were available like the others, then you wouldnt have to wait a week for a $.50 shim. It was just an idea I wanted to check into. Thats all.

Not to come off mean but try being prepared

Also you set up lvl10 you shouldn't have to fine tune it more later after you tune it the first time. I just dont see where you would run into a problem needing new shims or whatnot unless you bend them or something.
