    Twist lock questions

Ok, I found messages telling me how to knock one out and put one in.

But my question is, if I knock out my twist lock assembly can I re-install it on a new rail?

Also, it looks like the assembly might not be brass like the new ones, it looks like it's steel. Does this make a difference?

One last one about the old rail. If I knock it out, can I put another one back in or is it pretty much useless?

    Thanks for the help!

You can put it back assuming you don't destory it on the way out, but its such a PITA I would just buy a new one.

I'm not sure what's up w/ my rails and twistlock assemblies but mine always comes out fairly easy.

Perhaps someone modified your rail, or its just been in and out so many times. I know mine is tight as tell.

          well

Not so worried about the cost of the item, it's the lead time to get one. Nobody deals with part for Mags around here. At least in any volume or variety. I can get the O-ring kits and things like that, but an item like this I'll have to order from somewhere else.
