    Need help in identifying part.

I recently placed an order with AGD for a pair of "Back Bottle Bolt". I was expecting two 1/2" screws for my bottom line. They are the right length, but are too big in diameter to fit the hole. Before I call and tell them they sent me the wrong part, I want to be sure that I did indeed order what appear to be ASA screws.

Attached is a picture I took, using a penny for reference size.

    Please lmk.

What you need are #10-32 x 1/2" countersunk socket head cap screws. They should be approximatly .190" in diameter over the threads.

You can get these at Lowe's or any decent hardware store, get Stainless Steel if you can, as they won't rust, and are much tougher.

Should cost less than a quarter a piece.

        Hrmm. Nice idea.

*grin* and it would cost a lot less for me too.

          Screw measures about...

I just measured the screw and the diameter is about .230 and it is clearly not 10/32" threading.

Oh well. Time to ask AGD what they sent me.

          Thanks for the info Cool.

            No prob bob.

            Spreadin the good word.

Also, the #10-32 means #10 diameter (wire guage diameter = .190) with 32 threads per inch (thread pitch, TPI), not 10/32" . This TPI is the fine thread of this diameter screw. (Also made in 24 TPI, which is coarse)
