Carrier for LX bolt distorting need a little help.

I have an RT Valve with an LX bolt setup. Normal setup of 1 or 1/2 carrier with one shim. I went through the normal sizing down of the carrier till I got to a 1 with no leaks. Then I started getting bolt stick replaced the bolt o-ring but had sticking problems. I noticed that both my 1 and 1/2 carriers have been destroyed by the bolt and are all bent up inside the carrier where the bolt would travel though. Is this normal? I probably have 150,000 cycles using either one of these carriers. Would appreciate some feedback. I don't care about the carriers but am worried about the valve.

I've never heard of the actual carriers geting beat up? The inner stem of the bolt should be riding on the o-ring. Post some pics I wanna see!
