HI I,m a new mag owner and I bought mine second hand and have no idea how old it is other than my local shop says its old school, how can I find out how old it is and if I can still get it rebuilt by AGD? The serial number on the valve is mm04909 if that is of any help.My second problem is that the detent pin for the barrel seems week and it seems to me that the barrel can turn easily and I'v already replaced the o-rings.The third question I have is what can I do to my mag to get the max performance out of it with out having to go to the RT valve or putting in a level 10 bolt.I,d kinda like to rub it in with some of the people that I play with that me and my second hand mag stock, running on Co2 put them out!

I'm a fairly new member here myself but I have owned a mag for over 4 years and now am a proud parrent of an emag.
Enough about me, lets get you all hooked up... I can't help you with the age of your marker. You should be able to order a new barrel pin off www.airgun.com. Go to the store. Other than new orings, that's about all you can do.
The Lvl X bolt won't increase your ROF, it'll just keep you from chopping. Highly recomended upgrade. The ULE Trigger is a worth while upgrade but I don't know what the issues are with it and CO2. Other than you'd probly freeze up a lot easier.
If you are running CO2, run it REMOTE! It'll almost be as good as running HPA for consistency. Put a decent expansion chamber on the front of the marker and you'll be laughing all the way to the flag station.
Barrels are the upgrade of choice obviously. I've always liked the DYE SS on mags just because they provide some weight to counteract the recoil. Barrels are totally your preference though.
Hope this helps.

my minimag is my back-up marker now that I have an emag... but I have used it in the past. The mini is undergoing a level 10 upgrade right now and I am expecting great things. All I currently have done is go to a hyperframe. That made a nice difference. I am also installing a warp after I get done with the level 10 kit. Good luck and enjoy!Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

i am also still new to the world of mags. i started out with a stock level 7 minimag. i have since got a hyperframe (in the mail), better drop forward, rebuilt the level 7 for now (until the xvavle gets here!!!), and i plan on upgrading to a ule body, agd flatline air, the xvavle as menioned before, and a halo b hopper.
as the other guys said, if you have a nice expansion chamber and a level 10 (i would highly recomend this) you should have a decent marker. the ule trigger would help also. good luck!my feedback
countdown on devilmag day........ill let you now

Your mag is quite old, 1993 or 94 probably. It shouldn't need to be rebuilt though. Mags are tough and built to last.
If you want to tune your marker without adding anything, then get a powertube spacer kit. It will allow you to get a nice crisp trigger pull.
The barrel problem you are having is most likely the barrel not the detent. Some barrels have flattened dimples where the detent sits. The detent doesn't sit very deep and the barrel is easily turned. This can be fixed with a drill bit. Don't drill very deep or you won't be able to get the barrel off (just a dimple is all that is needed).
Get the plastic nubbins for your barrels. They are much better and easier on poor quality paints. They will help prevent barrel breaks.
Get a new parabolic feed plug. It will help the feed rate and help prevent chops.
You really should consider the level 10 bolt kit. You rate of fire will most likely go up with this marker. The level 10 will help prevent chopping of balls.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
