    trigger feel on a e-mag

hey whats the trigger feel like on the e-mag... im just wondeirng if its quick snappy and easy to shoot strings, like on a matrix or bladed impulse, or if its more of the triggers u cant walk and is a bit slower like on e-blades or if its like timmy's and the gun shoots itself kinda when u walk... kinda... if u understand what im saying
but ya im interested and might buy one with lvl 10, but just was wondering what the trigger was like, cause i like the walkability of a matrix or imp.

    thanks!

Properly set up you can walk it. There will be a video from AO SC 2 of me lighting a willing participant up. You can see the solid stream of paint from the gun.

It's adjustable in 3 ways-- (Emode)

Weight/pull- the magnets in the grip frame dictate how hard you have to pull to start the trigger moving as well as the return force

Stroke- the magnet in the trigger will determine where in the stroke the gun will fire

Length- a set screw will determine where the back travel on the trigger will stop

Hybrid mode only REALLY takes 2 of those adjustments b/c of how it works.

Its walkable, although in feel I'd have to say that it feels more like an E-Blade. And with 3.2 software it has that "gun shoots itself kinda when u walk" thing goin on too.

I can walk mine easily, and most people that I let try my gun can also walk it. but I have a blade trigger, most emags have the notched trigger & that can get in the way for some people.
the trigger can be adjusted to be very short, and very light. At the top of the trigger there is a magnet that reacts with a magnet in the frame to make the trigger lighter or heavier, when I pull the trigger you could not fit a credit card between the trigger magnet and the frame.. I think that is a pretty short travel about 1mm

hey i was wondering if there is a bps counter on the e-mag, i think there is but not sure... how fast can yu guys hit with walking or however u shoot.

i can get 13-14 on a lcd angel and 16 on a lcd trix... but the angel was a while ago and hte trix is more uptodate, also its dry firing soo i wouldnt actually get that fast with paint i doubt... but ya..

              thanks

Actually, the shot counters on guns aren't very accurate.

In any case- there is no shot BPS counter on the Emag. Easiest way to do it is to video tape it, study the sound graph and count.

There are a bunch of people who have done it here.

ya i hadmy matrix up to 24 bps once, raking it with a trigger i made,
but ya thanks for all the info, also... where could i find info on the differences of the e-mag boards, like the software, i was looking at a 1.37 software e-mag, and was wondering how bad it is and what it offers etc, and if u could buy the 3.?? ones with the debounce and stuff like timmies ( bassically was boards)

                  thanks

You don't buy the board. You just get the chip upgraded. Can be done by AGD techs, the factory or by going to an AO event.

Run a search. The software differences have been covered extensively.

i had a matrix, then traded it for an emag.

matrix trigger, it was an orgasm in my hands.

emag trigger, it was...not as satisfying. i felt it to be more "sloppy" as in, a longer, mushy pull. whereas the matrix trigger was a quick, short, snappy pull (it was even a spring loaded trigger). sure it's adjustable, but i never could get it to the matrix/angle style.

if i where ever to go back to either a matrix or an emag, it would definatly be a matrix.

but also, i had the "bump" on the trigger frame, it wasn't a ULE. my hands are average sized (i wear medium gloves), and it felt really uncomforable for me. i say, try them both. depends on your playing style.

ahh, going to the field with only 500 balls...i love college.
