minimag not cycling...

hey guys. my friends minimag got gassed up today and air was just blowing out the barrel. sounded like the valve(?) was open or something wasn't sealed, but i mean, it dumped about 1500 psi within a few seconds...it was bad. wouldn't cycle when he pulled the trigger. any tips? advice? troubleshoots?

Did you make sure the bolt was in the gun? How about the spring? Or the on/off assembly.
