    barrel size

I need some help here guys i'm just getting back into paintball and I now forget much of the good info i used to know. I have a 18in all american barrel but i forget what size bore it is, is there anyway to find out?? Also if i recall correctly most people consider smaller diameter paint better quality and more accurate right?? Which brands of paint are small diameter?? and what brands/size of barrel is best for this paint?? If i recall Dye barrels are usually small in diameter right? Could someone please clear this up for me. thanks alot

Your barrel is probably around .689
I think dye barrels are .688-.689
Smaller does not mean better quality.
Diablo paint is very small, the lapaco autospirit is a small bore barrel.
Accuracy is mainly a function of your paint-barrel match. In a large bore barrel, large bore paint will be more accuate than small bore paint, In a smaller barrel smaller paint will be more accurate then larger paint.

I bought my barrel from 888 about a year ago and I beleive thier options at the time were small medium and large bore..i opted for the medium. there was no exact measurement given though. Marbalizer is a small paint also am i right?? What would be a good paint to shoot throught my "medium" size bore???

Lots of people here use SP barrels, they might be able to give you a more definate answear on that. As for marbs, I think they are small-medium.

Ok, the marbs I have tried are very small. I have an All American that is a medium bore(.688) and Team Colors was a good match for it, and ProBall was an ok match. What you should do is get some paint, put it in the breach(where the paint loads in), push it past the nubbin with your finger, cover the holes in the breach and by the nubbin with your hands, and blow through the breach. If the paint blows through really easy its too small. If it is too hard to blow through it is too big. If it blows through with a little resistance it is a good match. I hope this helps.

No problem. Thats the easiest way to tell whats the best size because paint differs in size in diffrent places. Like Marbs are really small here, but someone online said that theirs was like a large medium. So thats the best way to get the best match.
