    X-valve Problem

    Hi,

I am going to try to explain this as cleary as i can, but its kind wierd considering its brand new and just came in today but its not working. Ok heres the problem. After i gas the gun up the air will not create the sear pin to come out therefore i cant shoot it. I know its aired up because i can feel air comming out of the valve when i take it off. Its almost as if the air isnt pushing the on/off pin down created the sear to be pushed out into the trigger. I tried messing with the velocity and i got the pin to come out, but when I pull the trigger it just goes in and doesnt shoot and the pin wont come back out. I have tried everything I can think of, but the only thing I think could be wrong is the on/off pin though I thought Airgun Designs tested all there valves before they sent em off. Any help would really be apprecitead. On the off note my valve only has an "X" on it not like others ive seen with "X Valve" on them j/w if thats the new style now THANKS AGAIN

    UPDATE:

As i was messing with my on off valve and i got the sear pin to go in and out, but it still wont shoot so i can basically pull the trigger like normal, but it just wont shoot. I think it has to do with the on off pin length...so i am wondering how far i should have it stick out of the on off assembly THANKS

Might be bolt stick. Have you tried some oil down the powertube tip or changing the carrier to the next larger size?

I would also lean towards bolt stick. Try going to the next larger carrier. Put a couple of drops of oil down your powertube before you put the bolt in the valve.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

also there is a o-ring inside the carrier does that need to be there to work correctly or maybe even not be there to work correctly. Thx

Try turning up your velocity up a lot more. :)

                        Ok. We need some info-

                        Tank input pressure
                        EXACT shim/carrier #/Spring size
what kind of gun are you mounting the valve on? Minimag/RT Pro/Emag

Now, with the 1.5 and the medium spring, have you tried turning up the velocity and tried shooting? The level 10 system is different than the level 7. It's a balance of friction and spring tension versus the velocity. If the spring/carrier combo is too tight, the gun won't fire. If it's not enough to slow the bolt speed, it'll break paint.

Once we get all the info, we'll start. And yes. AGD does test the valves, but they don't have time to tune them individually. That's your job.

Use the largest carrier that doesn't leak. Put the shortest bolt spring in. Remove all shims. Start low and increase the velocity until it shoots.
