Head to Sears and buy the Screw Out stripped screw remover (or find someone who owns one already).

Or you can try and cut a slot in it with a dremel and use a flat-blade screwdriver on it.

I wish I had a dremel, but I used a saw to cut a slot in it. That was fun.

There is an intereting way that my friends and I have used to get stripped screws out. It workes well especially if the screw is large. You take a very small drill bit and drill a hole in the middle of the head of the screw down the shaft. The deeper you can make the hole the better, but an 1/8 of an inch usually works pretty well. Then you fill the hole with JB weld and insert the drill bit back in the hole. Leave it in there overnight to dry and in the morning put the hand drill back on the drill bit and simply run it in reverse. That will take the srew out. Just remember that in the process you end up loosing a drill bit, but if all else fails this is a viable alternative. It even works when the screw has sheired off and there is no more head on in.

drill a hole in the head of the screw that is large enough to cut the head off (just larger than the screw itself). then use visegrips to remove the studs.

why not just use vicegrips and grip the screw head?

Drilling the head off as Lamby stated is the best way I have found. Use 2-3 smaller bits first. When the head gets thin you can alsmost just break/pull it off.

yeah the drill really works a charm that how we get stuck screws out in the air force w/o damaging the air craft. also a small brass punch, hammer, and some epoxy and vise grips
