has anyone ever dumped the HES in favor of a micro switch?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever done this. I mean with all the problems some people seem to be having (which i am not experiancing any of them) with the HES.

    anyone?

I was thinking of doing this. I have a problem with my HES...i mean it worked fine when using it with the stock board but i get full auto when using it with my morlock!

I even thought of a prox switch or optical switch!

ill post when i decide a build it!

That sounds like a problem w/ the morlock board, not the HES

i would think that a micro switch would be your best bet if you do that, however pudbudz look at this link. this might take care of your problem

there is a reason tom didnt use a microswitch. The post-travel of a microswitch is not enough to allow manual mode without crushing the switch. You can go as far as you want to with the HES.

          it would work fine, though.

yeah i know it wouldn't work in manual/hybrid mod well or at all. However, i have no intentions of useing mine in manual or hybrid (i took out the trigger rod). If for some reason my Xmag goes down, i'll just pic up one of my other markers.

Not that i am going to put a micro swith in mine gun, i just was curious.

yeah, I'd be interested in a switch style trigger too. My HES sensor goes out of whack whenever paint spray or chips gets behind the trigger...then I NEED the manual mode!
plus i think that the switch would eliminate the bounce created by the "noise" that the HES pics up.

I never have any problem w/ the HES unless I cause them. I'm quite the tinkerer.
