    E-mag charger resister

I seem to have fried the large resister in my charger. Everything else looks fine with no discoloration. Before I have pay $80.00 for a new one, I'd like to spend twenty cents and a couple of minutes replacing the old one. The resister is discolored and I don't know for sure what the value of the resister is. Someone please respond and let me know. THANKS!!!!!

No one from AGD got back to me so I went to a local electronics store and spoke with someone knowledgable and I bought several resisters. I am currently using a 220 ohm and we'll see how long the charge takes. CHEERS!

I called tech support and they didn't know the value of the resister but the did open up one of their chargers and read off the color code. Gold-gold-black-grey. This can only be interpreted one way and that means an 8 ohm resister. I bought one and soldered it in and it seems to be doing the job. I'll post an update in the future.

        Regards....
