    problem with brother's LX

i've been dealing with level 10 for quite awhile...i've set up at least 4 markers with it and i was one of the original beta testers.

my brother's emag is bugging the crap out of me. setup as is: shortest spring, size 0 carrier, 3 shims, and no luck.

we have gotten it to cycle and reset, but the sensitivity is lower than desired. changing the spring any higher results in causing the bolt to stick forward, and we can't go down any farther for carriers. i even tried starting from scratch with tom's quick start instructions, with no luck. i tried changing bodies and rails to see if we have any tolerance issues, and it hasnt changed anything. i've tried tool-tightening the field strip screw, with no luck...and then hand tightening it too. changing the velocity doesnt help either. i'm really stuck.

    any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a different power tube o ring? That may let you be able to use a larger carrier and not have leaks and move to the middle spring. Also have you tried it w/ out the shims? I took them out last time and am doing fine.

Yes, try a different oring. I've found some that just would not seal properly (i.e. required too small a carrier to work).
