    RT Pro Question

The RT Pro actually has an X valve rather than an RT valve correct?

The reason I ask is this.I had the lvl10 put in by a shop , and since it came back it has developed a leak down the barrel. It cycles properly , but leaks pretty badly.

It was suggested to put a rebuild kit on it , and got an RT rebuild kit , per the shops suggestion.
Now when I put the on/off together it won't stay in with only one oring on the end(valve side)as is shown in the exploded view. When I took it apart it actually had two orings, but both white. Not like the black ring shown on the X valve.
I didn't see the inside of the on/off prior to having the shop install the lvl10.I do not know if the "quad ring" or the "white ring" was installed stock.

I guess to summarize, does the RT Pro valve require the X valve rebuild kit , or the RT kit?Especially concerning the type of Oring reuired for the end of the on/off assy.

The valve actually has an X on it , with RT pro over the top of the X.
    If that helps.....

The leak is the level 10 system breaking in. It's "supposed" to do that. You need to move down a 1/2 size on the carrier.

And there is only 1 RT rebuild kit. There's no Xvalve rebuild kit as they are the same valve- ReTro/Xvalve.

The carrier will not come out.I haven't really forced the issue , but just knocking it on a surface will not get it to drop out like it should.

I just can't figure out how many orings I should have in the on/off.It doesn't work right with 3 or 4 orings.(One on top or two)

I called AGD today and am just going to bite the bullet and let them fix it.I loose one of two stars but it will be right. They seem to think that the on/off pin is bent.
I can pull the trigger a bit and the leak will stop. Also it stops when I pull the trigger all the way in.

You can't get the carrier out b/c the oring around the outside of the carrier is below the threads for the tip.

Easy way to fix- Take your field strip screw, thread it into the carrier, tug it out.

Is the inside of the carrier already threaded , or will I be creating "threads" in there?
This sounds like a good way to mess up the carrier. Are you being serious?
Why wouldn't AGD include that tip in their instructions for getting the carier out?
Not trying to knock your suggestion , I just don't want it more messed up than it may already be.

if your worried about messing the carrier up that way you can also take a small allen wrench and hook it then tug lightly. It will come out but be careful not to tear oring or you start over. then just drop down 1/2 carrier size like day said and put the oring that was in origianl carrier into that 1. Make sure you pay attention to the order everything comes out so you put it back in the same way. Your local shop didnt know this?

Actually all my problems started when the local shop started working on this marker.
He just doesn't know anything about the mags I guess, and is unwilling to fix the problems that have come up.

I actually found out from AGD that the marker CAME WITH the lvl 10 installed.I don't know what the guy at the shop thinks he did.
I have never actually seen lvl 10 before this marker and was unaware that it was installed already.Evidently he was too.Took it apart and then slapped it all back together for nothing. And this marker has yet to see a game.....out of the box in March.

Your a bit south of me (I live in Cumming, GA)but if you would like me to help with it if you would want to meet up this way or something. Possible sending the gun but seems like waste of money when your so close. Ill be more then happy to help ya get it running. Let me know, Im sure we can get the meeting worked out to get your gun on the field for ya.

Also what is the shops name your talking about?

I would really rather not say the name of the shop.I mean it sucks that he didn't know , or was unwilling to fix a marker that he "worked" on.He has been excellent in every other facet of buisiness dealings I have had with him.
I guess any gunsmith has something that gives them problems.

Just to clarify. This carrier oring that you are suggesting to replace, will cause a leak down the barrel, that can be increased or stopped by slight trigger pressure?

yes there is an oring in the carrier that the bolt slides in inside the powertube. Once you shoot it a bit the oring breaks in and you need to drop down 1/2 size to make the oring snug again not letting air to slip by it and the bolt. Be sure to put a little oil on it when you put it in new carrier so its not too tight at first. Then put it back together air it up and you may need to turn velocity up at first to get it shooting. remember that the lvl10 loves oil. Once its firing chrono it to right velocity and enjoy.

Please pm the store name Im not gonna say anythign to them just dont want to accidently deal with them and I have delt with a shop or 2 in that area.

If it wasn't the right way to do it, I wouldn't have told you.

By changing the carrier, you are increasing or decreasing the inner diameter of where the oring will sit. The if you have a leak after it firing, you move down a 1/2 size and this makes the inner diameter tighter. This snugs the oring up and stops the leak.

Thanks for the tips.Got the carrier out and discovered a cut carrier oring.
That is what was binding it up so bad.
I will put in the next size down and see if it will seal up.I may have to spring for a lvl10 repair kit....

Dayspring , I meant no offense, something just didn't seem right about doing that.It worked like a charm though.
